Namita … authentic and well articulated are adjectives that come up for me when I read this 🙂

  2. Inspiring post, thanks Namita! I really like point two – that we’re here to teach, not entertain. Though obviously our presentation skills are important, otherwise people switch off. But I think we do sometimes feel a certain pressure to constantly keep people interested by offering something new or finding a different, perhaps slicker, way of saying something. It’s a nice reminder that our job is to teach; it takes the pressure off a little. I just found your blog. Very cool. Looking forward to reading more. Greetings from Berlin!

Thanks a ton Tatjana! So glad you could relate to it. And yes I’ve felt that pressure so often in my 8 odd years of teaching. Good to remind ourselves that we are here to share our practice and guide, not to entertain. There are entire industries dedicated to the latter after all, so we needn’t take that on in a Yoga class of all places. Really glad you stumbled on my blog and wrote in your kind thoughts. Have so much more to write about in Yoga especially, hope you hit the follow button and/or keep coming back to the blog now and then 🙂
