Virtual Exhibit: Colonialism and the Climate Crisis
Glad to share that my series of 9 paintings titled Colonialism and the Climate Crisis is now a virtual exhibition on the ICAAD (International Center for Advocates Against Discrimination) website. Physical exhibition later this year in NYC, until then I hope you’ll make time to take in the art and the accompanying stories behind each work that have been showcased so beautifully in this virtual exhibit.
It’s a dark subject in many ways, as you might agree, and researching for this series tested my understanding of the world at every step. And as any artist can tell you, art can take you to some really dark spaces just as much as it drenches you in awe and inspired states. It’s been a wild ride, to put it mildly 🙂
Honoured to be featured on ICAAD’s Artist Spotlight this month. Here’s my artist interview if you’d like to read more about my creative process, what inspired me to create this series, and what I hope people will take away from these paintings.
Big thank you to everyone at International Center for Advocates Against Discrimination for trusting me with this project and for all the support, education, and creative freedom they encouraged me with all of last year when I was working on this series.
